True advocates of the scene, HLD came from humble vinyl roots and have since proved unparalleled producer and mixing prowess. Now gaining global recognition, HLD are riding the waves of the music zeitgeist, at spinning at the forefront of progression in Underground House and Techno. And doing it in style. Drawing productional inspiration from the likes of Sidney Charles, Steve Lawlor, wAFF , Max Chapman, Solardo and Kidnap kidd, Hott Like Detroit have been gaining sweet attention (and air time) from their piers such as Dj MK, Claptone, Green Velvet, Sam Divine, Diploe, Mistajam, Shiba San, Amine Edge And Dance, Steve Lawler, De La Swing, Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Lowsteppa, Lance Morgan and Mark Radford to name a few…
Events play a major role in the boys lives – in particular this year has seen them play such venues as Hï Ibiza, Eden (Ibiza), Starworks Warehouse, Made Festival and many many more. Supported by major spinners in the tech / techno / g house circuit, HLD have been concentrating recently on production, with projects and collaborations which will see a collection of eps for release soon, which will be coming out via various industry labels after hitting number 5 in tech house release charts and number 26 on the overall charts on Beatport. All eyes are now on young producers/djs… in anticipation of their next move.
