biography
He has been a professional dj since 1982. Starting his career playing soul & reggae with the BBC 1982 & 4 years at Pebble Mill studios in Birmingham, before a holiday to Tenerife changed everything. After 4 years in Canaries he was headhunted by BCM International Mallorca via DMC UK and was with the company as their 7 day a week dj resident for 16 years.
So with numerous gigs alongside the likes of Carl Cox, Tony Humphries, Dave Morales, George Morel, Roger Sanchez, Sister Bliss, Tall Paul, Sasha, Jeremy Healy, Blocko & Alex P, Boy George, Armand van Helden, Tongy, Laurent Garnier, Bob Sinclar, Paul Oakenfold, Tenaglia, Felix the Housecat, Todd Terry, Robin Shulz, Jonas Blue, Jax Jones, Disciples, Calvin Harris, Goodboys, Stolen Goodze, Duke Dumont, Eric Morillo (rip) CJ Mackintosh, Chad Jackson, Deep Dish & the list could go on…
Home base is Mallorca, but he has had the pleasure of working in Japan for Avex records ‘Club Velfarre’ spending a year living out there plus countless trips back & forth.
Across the globe & Europe from Ministry London, Ministry of Sound Taiwan & a 6-week session opening Ministry of Sound Singapore.
Des was also a DMC mixing competition winner across UK and through that has done touring to Estonia, Finland, India, Sweden, USA New York, Guam & Miami, Canada, Austria P1 club, Germany east & west, Berlin Metropole, Norway, Holland, IT, Roxy, Powerzone, Hollywood music hall & Maas theatre, Belgium at Zillion, Italy Red Zone, Malta, Northern island while the troubles were still on, Maldives since 2012 and which is still his winter residency 2023/24 and many more.
2006 Des was asked to play a luxury club for Sheraton on the Maldive island of Fesdu at the W Hotel & after playing a few other resorts he now spends his winters since 2012 at Six Sense Lamu in Maldives. Des calls it ‘his paradise on earth’.

From playing for the Prince of Monaco in Holland for a birthday to playing for Dolce in the Maldives or Chris Martin, Sam Worthington even Princess Eugenie, it doesn’t faze him.
In 2000 he also became known especially among dj’s for having a top 5 UK hit & a number 1 dance club track ‘Welcome To The Dance’ 2022.
He can be found doing his DJ thing at BCM International playing for Danny Howard of Radio1 UK. Guest DJ sessions in Gran Canaria & across Mainland Spain. UK Festivals. Street Eats Beats Essex. Planet Love Northern Ireland. Reminisce Festival Liverpool.
