biography
Beverley Skeete is a soul singer who was known worldwide for her soulful hits “Warm” and “If the feeling’s right” in the 80’s, however in 1993 having been approached by an Italian record company she recorded her first house track “Find a Way” under the name Mars Plastic. It was a hit and Beverley had found another string to her bow. She then went on to record many Italian house hits including a reworking of the Jenifer Rush song “The Power Of Love” which went to number one in Australia immediately.
In 1996 she was approached by Jazz Summers a producer and manager who had managed acts such as Snow Patrol, The Verve, and Scissor Sisters and who was also the founder of BIG Life records. . Jazz had recently signed a group called “Gat Décor“ and they needed a vocalist to rework a song they had previously had an underground hit with. The combination of the guys and Beverley was dynamite and “Passion” entered the national charts straight in at number 5.
Beverley has gone on to feature on the Allister Whitehead hit “Heaven”, Silosonic’s “Something to make you feel alright”, and her latest killer track is “BREAK IT DOWN” By In Demand UK.
