Basshunter, born Jonas Erik Altberg on December 22, 1984, is a Swedish singer, DJ, and producer known for bass-heavy Eurodance music. He gained fame with Boten Anna (2006) before signing with Extensive Music and Warner Music Sweden.
His 2007 hit Now You’re Gone became a major success, leading to five studio albums, including Now You’re Gone – The Album (2008) and Bass Generation (2009).
He has also written for other artists and appeared on reality TV shows like Celebrity Big Brother. With over 3 million records sold, Basshunter has won a European Border Breakers Award and multiple industry nominations.
