Kathryn Dion-King, David O’Connor and Daniel Evans created their masterpiece ‘Brothers & Sisters’ in 1993 and after becoming HMV Liverpool’s #1 record of the year and one of the best-selling white labels of the time, it was officially released by Logic Records in late 1993 and topped dance charts across the UK and Europe. During this time 2 Funky 2 performed across the UK to fantastic reception at most of the big clubs of the golden age of rave. The popularity of the track grew until it was finally re-released by All Around The World Records in November 1996 and this time reached number 36 on the UK chart and was featured on several multi-platinum compilations further enhancing their legend.
David & Dan also had success on All Around The World as The Porn Kings and Kathryn released an LP of her songs in the USA on TVT Records, working with A Guy Called Gerald and featuring on releases by Deejay Punk-Roc. The last 30 years has seen regular appearances at many events across the country and 2 Funky 2 have maintained the awareness of one of the great Anthems of Rave ‘Brothers & Sisters’.
